Skout Everything Skout EVO and Epoch

LOL I bought a cheap LW un-choked barrel to try, and the result is still pretty rubbish about the same as the original Skout barrels
There likely the issue ... as Choked and Unchoked LW's in the states are the same price.
To say CHEAP we're likely to think a secondhand barrel someone else found to be inaccurate as well ... thus selling "Cheap"

Is this incorrect ?

Not at all! I just happen to know someone who had a batch made quite a few years ago and hadn't used them so he sold me one cheap for me to try on the off chance that it might be OK, but unfortunately it wasn't particularly accurate enough for me just like the STD barrels I tried IE not what I would call an accurate barrel, however I had a choked LW barrel arrive this morning and I have machined it to fit and have just got back after a testing session and the results are encouraging despite the 20mph + wind so having bought a LW barrel at full price it looks like I have finally got a barrel the Epoch likes, still got to be THE most picky gun I have owned though,
And had I prior knowledge of it that I now have I would never have bought it!

I just joined the Epoch club today, a Saturday delivery. Mine's a .22.

Figuring out which sight to put on it. So far I like the EOTech, EXPS3. It sits at a good height. Fits the look too. With a mostly square body of the gun, the square EOTech fits. Gotta get a magnifier for distance shooting though.

Not trying to push an item by any means but depends what you want to do. Day Hunting, night hunting. Bench rest. Field target.?

I have a SFP Delta scope 2-50x56 for bench rest on my Skout. On another gun i have a Oneleaf Commander NV400 Day/Night Scope.
It’s a digital day or night scope with a built-in rangefinder it can record and you can make it a first focal plane or second or more. You should give that a look.
I have a discount code to if you do and up getting one. MSRWorkshopNV400

another great option is the Vector Optics Sentinel-X Pro 10-40x50 SFP Scope. won’t brake the bank and has lots of range. Code for discount on this one is, MSRWORKSHOP

Thanks for the offer. I have a few scopes on hand, that I can try.
With the setup that I've decided to go with, is both good for "up close and personal", and for 100+ yards with the 3x magnifier. That's all I need.
I do have a habit of swapping sights and scopes around, any given gun, so it could end up with a scope on it at some time in the future.
I actually kinda like the new, EOTech, Vudo, 3-9 x 32, "Ultra Short" scope. Could end up with one of those too.

Thanks again for the offer.

Welcome to the Skout Family!
Love my .22 epoch
trying it as a .30 cal too ...so far the .22 has the edge on precission, but more pellets/speeds to try 🙄

Just picked up my EVO today at the airgun show in Lebanon Indiana. Yeah I know the cheekpiece says Epoch, I emailed them about that and the cracked gauge cover. Other than that this beast shoots! I have a tripod ordered, took me forever to find one in stock.

Nice Evo
cool anodizing
what cal?
on the gauges, a digital gauge is very helpful on the Skouts to dial in a specific tune on the HPR
not certain on the Evo’s thread for that…it is different from the earlier Epochs

Hey guys! I am absolutely loving my EVO the butt pad pice takes it over the top for me especially if you shoot Field Target. Buddy of mine in Texas named Jim Clarke mad it for me. This will only fit on the bench rest stock.

I don’t know man, that looks like more than 1inch! I’m bringing my ruler to ROT!

Looks Fantastic!
Did you attach an arca rail to the bottom of the BR stock?….also very cool!

It's a .30 cal. Eventually I will likely get a .22 barrel kit to bring down the cost per shot. I may look in to a digital thanks for the advice!

I posted about a bag rider when I got my EVO, but I bought a Saber Tac benchrest monopod last year for the PA cup and wanted to see if I could adapt it to work on my EVO w/ skeletonized butt stock that is narrower at the bottom than the top. Here’s the result: STac uses M5 socket head cap screws that recess into the stock mounted piece. (hard to find)
I found the M4-0.7 pan head is small enough to fit in the recess.Use a 60mm screw on top and a 50mm on the lower mount point. Put a couple washers between the stock and the lower mount point to get the adapter vertical. Nylocks and M4&M5 washers under them span the gaps.

Also, add M4 washers under the cap head in the recess as necessary to minimize the screw protrusion past the Nylocks

That is actually a 4 or 5 slot pic rail that I modified and used the 2 screw holes to attach the pic rail. I took a bag rider off my Ghost for it. I need to paint it back to blend in. This was a @Centercut idea that he did to his. @CurtisNelson Saber tactical makes a pantera bag rider that Mike uses and other have used on the skeleton stock of the evo and it worked great for them. I on the other hand didn’t have luck with it because maybe my gun is so heavy 🤷‍♂️😄🤪. I can’t recommend the bench stock upgrade to the evo because it truly allows more flexibility, like the butt hook.
