Daystate Everything you need to know about the new Daystate Blackwolf

I found it interesting that the type of hammer has been left out completely, is it the old Harper slingshot design, SSG or something else?
Also, Jeff mentions that it's a balanced valve design, but I can see no evidence of that.
He specifically says that this rifle doesn’t have the “balanced style” valve that the high power models do.

Doesn't seem to have a whole lot of O-rings.
Agree - very clean simple design
mistakes are:
you must degas this gun to reduce reg pressure
ok but
no valve in bottle or tube,
So no specific smart way for degassing before lowering reg pressure
at least with a ghost you can unscrew the bottle.

The new Blackwolf its kinda like FX…but for men.

Spending $2000 on a PCP ?
Why?

Warranty: a few years and then you are on your own
Availability of parts: NO
Build quality: YES, but you still need to be able to change o'rings
More accurate: really really hope it is much much more accurate than a $300 PCP
Prestige and bragging credits: YES

I guess I do not have dreams of winning competitions and I will never spend $2000 on a PCP.
Good luck to all of you with your $2000 PCPs listed in the classifieds.

I figure people should enjoy their money while they can…. You sure can‘t take it with you. Some folks like spending $5000. On a one week cruise ship and some like buying Porsche. If a Blackwolf brings someone joy.…. good for them, I figure it’s not for me to judge how others spend their money.

“build quality: yes”

I would pay $2000 for a gun that’s built a little bit better than a $1000 gun. Even for little to no measurable performance gain on paper.

I have no dreams of winning competitions either. Or bragging. In fact, most people I know think airguns are kinda lame.

I’m not rich either. 2k is a lot of money to me. I don’t have a ton of guns. Just a few nice ones.

Each to their own. Your points are valid every one has their own perspective.
