Skout EVO .25 Barrel Length?

So, I've all but decided on the gun I'm gonna order. After considering the FX M4, the Daystate Alpha Wolf, and the Skout Evo. The Evo is seemingly winning out. As I've mentioned in a couple other threads I've really taken an interest if the different kinds of competition shooting I've seen coming out of RMAC 2024. As such I'm looking to get a more "serious" rifle.

While I realize that different events require different rifle setups; I'm trying to select something versatile, so that if I decide I like one type of event over another I can readily convert my rifle to the task. So thus far it seems the Scout is the one for me. Having said all that I'm leaning heavily into the .25, as it seems to be a longstanding favorite amongst the participants in the competitions I've been soaking in. Although the .30's also seem to be ever present I already have 3 of them in the form of a Blitz, a Challenger Pro, and a Sidewinder. I figured maybe it's time to check out what the .25 is all about. So as I'm going through the options on the Skout site, I'm stuck trying to figure out which barrel will let me try out a little of everything, to see which type of shooting event I like most, without turning the gun into a one trick pony. With that in mind which barrel length do yall think is the better choice for a guy in my situation? The .25", or the 34.4"? At this point deciding on barrel length is about the only thing stopping me. I appreciate any input yall have to offer. TIA!

I have barrels/shrouds in Both lengths for my Epoch.
Not discounting the actions weight and known attributes, if carrying or swinging it around in lets say a PRS environment the 25" is less cumbersome IMO. If solely shot off a bench, on a bipod prone etc the Longer 34.4" does produce more power at similar settings. Tho does have the length of a carbine long gun set up as such & no longer PUP compact.

Shoot the platform in .22 & .30 personally.

* Have shot a .25 in the 34.4" length with Corbin Slugs at distances near 400 yards being amazed at the accuracy (y)

Good info. I've got lots of land, and can shoot at ranges up to 500 yards, so just about any type of shooting is available to me. What do you reckon the OAL would be with the 34.4" barrel?

About 45" being measuring with the OEM 25" the OAL is 35"
Likely a tad shorter as the EVO comes with a more compact shoulder pad assembly ( unless upgrading to the benchrest adjustable as the EPOCH came with )
After a couple emails to their sales Rep, and some final questions here; the decision has been made, and the order placed. Evo in .25, with the 34.4" barrel it is...

My friend who was loaned my EPOCH, then purchased a long barrel .22 EVO last week sent this to me earlier today ... 100 yards and 10 shots with JSB 25.4 RD's @ 930 fps ... WHOA NELLIE !!!
