I've got several Sheridans as well as a P1 and a few more Webley Tempests and Hurricanes. There's something to be said about just taking a a gun and some pellets out for a sesh without the accesorization that seem to go along w PCPs

I prefer the Sheridans TBH. Maybe it's the thwack of the piston guns that puts me off or maybe it's just the feel in hand. Not sure.

Anyway, they are classics and every airgunner should own one.

I grew up on MSP guns, so I keep a Benji 397 and a Crosman 1377 around. The 397 is just a handy sporter and a pleasure to shoot. Rumor has it that my old Crosman 760 is still at my parents place in SoCal. I've been most impressed with vintage examples and I'm looking forward to owning a 'Dan when I find the right one. I love shooting my PCPs but, in certain situations, I prefer to use a pumper for pesting and hunting. The Benji and I have killed a lot of squirrels.

Bought this one new in 1986. Never been apart and shoots as strong as it did when new.
it was all I had for many years.

I bought a new one out of the custom shop in 2020, 1300 KT, wore the linkage out twice in less than 5,000 pumps. In the Crosman parts box now. The Walther barrel lives on in a co2 gun.

I bought a 362, but i didn’t care for it and gave it to one of my sons.

The 1377 will be with me to the end. But I hate pumpin.

Nice pumper. 900 at 8 pumps! That's amazing. I've reached that but not a backpacker at all. 1400/1377 hybrid build mid 1kfps at 10 pumps with 8.5 grain. To get that in a compact sounds amazing. I always have a pumper on hand. I've built some compacts too but not at that power.

Pump eight times to shoot once? I want to love pumpers, especially Sheridans. They really shoot well, but the effort vs enjoyment experience doesn’t add up for me anymore. I do believe shooting a pumper daily would be great for your health and all that clacking keeps the chipmunks healthy also!
