Until late Summer 2020 I had mostly shot prone when hunting and bench in competitions. Have gotten into FT and shot in the AZ State at Mormon Lake and CA State at Morro Bay. Both time Hunter Class so bucket and sticks position.
It’s not as easy to hold steady as it looks...
So getting into this new Extreme FT where distances are 25 to 100 yards and required position is bucket and sticks, similar to Hunter Class FT I thought I was ready... Not!
I know I need big improvement in learning and practicing to hold steady. In the November match not including off hand I shot 23/36 from the required position. Just to verify that the gun was set up well, I went back after the match and shot 33/36 prone. (.22 DS RW HP Bleu with KO Slugs). So LOTS of room for improvement.
Ive been practicing shooting longer ranges bucket and sticks whenever I go shooting. Today I shot six EBR targets 5 shots each from 58, 74, and 101 yards. .25 Impact with NSA slugs. Funny that my best target was at 74 yards. Still lots of room for improvement.
