I understand your point of view. However, when I first came here it was strictly for information. I was new and the information I needed was basic. Very basic.Just me I guess.
If I have a general, nonspecific question that DOESN'T...need an experienced opinion or knowledge, I hit up a few places within the net.
To me...it save the forum members from answering mundane questions, so they...YOU ALL, free to answer the more specific, deeper questions.
The more simple questions can very simply answered by...the masses within the general public.
I guess it's just me...to leave all of you experts free to comment on the deeper questions, than to comment on the simple stuff.

One reason that I came here rather than google or whatever is because I had no idea how to separate the manure from the hay. I assumed that asking here the sorting would be mostly done already.
I was not disappointed and this forum drug me a long way down the road to where I am today. Not a pro, but no longer a newb either.
Another aspect is that by being able to get simple questions answered, it starts a relationship with fellow air gunners. We may never have a chance to meet them in person, but good relationships can be formed. We all form a community of like minded shooters. The camaraderie is pleasant and the ability to feel comfortable among our peers is priceless.
We should never underestimate the value of patience and willingness to share our knowledge.
