HW/Weihrauch Factory Zero

I dont understand , but i assume they at least test fire a gun as a qc measure.

Not to say its to check a zero of some sort. One i got new out of the box the rear sight blade was all the way right ( all the way) and shot 2" left of the bullseye at 50' ..lol. I was like wow , you got to be kidding , is this now what hw calls good and ship it to be sold ? ...lol.

Lucky i found the problem and it was corrected . And shoots great and stright sights right down the middle..

Sorry about the confusing question. What I meant is that rifles with iron sights are often zeroed for a particular distance at the factory. With centerfire rifles they are usually zeroed for 100 yards and with .22lr rifles it may be 50 yards. I was wondering if there is a customary distance for .177 air rifles. Guess I will find out in a few days.
I have read that 38yards is the "magic spot" for ~12FPE .177 caliber. This give about 1" of rise/drop with in line of sight out to about 50 yards. I zero at 40 yards with irons and my zero is very close at 20 yards also. Iron sight zero vs optic sight zero will cause some difference because of sight height above bore but a 40 yard iron sight zero seems to work well for me.

Regardless.. if they did ot would be in a controlled environment and aito trigger pull in a vice thing .. then what pellet?

You get it and some pellets of your choosing and shoot to find best pellet along with any sight adjustment for that pellet type or weight.

The pellet type/ shapes and weights will and can change the trajectory high low left right or combo of any 2 ..

That gun above I got hitting left and rear blade all the way right out of the box .

A little new gun tlc got me here

Bout middle as it gets..

Most was barrel filth and hinge bolt adjustment. Took me 2 full days of soaking with mean solvent for 2 to 4 hrs and scrubbing harb between soaks to get that hard jb weld like stuff out of the rifling . Most at where the barrel goes into the breech block . A wad of it .. once clean and mirror shiny stright shooting from there out.

P.s one extra tip

A air gun sight is 1 click = 1/10 mm @ 10 m. Official 10 m bullseye ring is = to 4 clicks

You can handle that and sight'er right in.😉
