Fake CZ barrel? You tell me!

You guys must have older ones . Go to Utah Air or Talon Tunes where their sold and check the specs. . They all have CZ barrels. Call Tony at Talon tunes he will set you straight. My Veterans were both purchased new within a month from today.

Sorry OP. That’s exactly what puts me off selling things privately. You can always spot a tire kicker on the basis that they don’t simply say “no thanks” (and move along) but instead insist on highlighting the flaws (typically before you’re hit with a lowball offer). Of course, in this case, it was all actually done in the spirit of education. Good luck with whatever you choose to do with your fine, accurate Taipan.

Lol 5 year old thread....but yeah mutants have a different breech connection than the Veterans. Mutants have a set screw and veterans are threaded into the reciever. Hence the flat parts machined to tighten them.

I had 2 taipan veteran long .. from the very first batch of longs .tony bring to US .. both of mine had the flat spot on the breach end ..the ones with the chape logo are ALL .. CZ .. second batch that came later that the block is only marked CZ those came with LW and CZ.. I don't know there is a way to know what is the lottery barrel you got..only talon tunes could answer that.. the one that intenseaty.22 has for sale. Is a gun to purchase flat out without any drama..there is nothing in the market that awesome for the price..

Man O Man I remember the days of the 1st Mutants and they had some kind of barrel shortage some had CZ barrels and some had the LISTONE barrels, Not sure which barrel my Mutant 22 has , Its so darn accurate I do not care really, I did buy a second barrel that was bought as a CZ barrel, Has no markings so not sure but its super accurate to just a little pellet inky, Some of the old timers back in the day said the Listone barrel was just as good as the CZ don't worry about it, Lots of time was spent on the TAG form talking about the barrels,Just before the Veteran came out some of the Mutants got a slightly longer barrel.
