Falx suppressor on .25 Airacuda max

Just loosen the barrel band first. It shouldn't be an issue breaking it loose. Then slide it off. There are 5 baffles inside and a retainer nut. The nut will need to be removed before you turn it around to the other side. The part sticking out on the end is the retainer nut i speak of.View attachment 355646
Any helpful hints on this retainer nut? I can’t get it to budge

I just got it by heating it up. Now I’m going to thread it back in on opposite side, I’m thinking I go all the way to the back of the threads?

Was just going to comment to add heat when you messaged again.

You should of measured the revolutions or depth prior to or during removal but no biggie, just get it put back together where it looks snug in all areas (front to back)...this part of the guns tolerances is not crucial to its performance, but any spacing that might be present that wasn't before may be an eye sore, easy enough to take down and adjust. You can always experience a bit here with the shroud beeing snug to the receiver or having a small space between the two. Glad you got it, hopefully this other end is more square!

Had to switch my shroud, too, thanks to Firewalker's tip, found gun installer had never tightened my stack bolt down, was snug to shroud end cap. You'll have to work a little to get so shroud tightens down to gun while stack bolt tightens against baffle stack but can be done. Took three tries moving stack bolt slightly to get correct fit.

I did everything that you guys said thank you. I am hoping my baffles are all tight inside I didn’t hear anything rattling when I took shots/or moved gun. I should’ve measured before I removed it. The heat is what did it. I would’ve not gotten it done without heat. One thing I did not do was put more thread lock on any of my threads. I hope that is OK. I have to be away for the weekend so I’m not gonna give it an overall long test but what I’ve shot so far seems much much better. I am so thankful thankful for your advice today. I would’ve not gotten it done if you guys weren’t there for me.
Thank you,
Joe

Good to hear. I didn't re-use thread lock either, think it's fine. Took three times, adjusting stack bolt slightly each time, till fully tightened at receiver end also felt fully tight against baffle stack. The person who assembled my Max at the factory left the stack bolt snug against the shroud end cap, not even near the baffle stack, thus the loud noise and clipped (damaged) spiraling pellets. Discovered when following Firewalker's end to end shroud switch suggestion. Was so happy to have accurate, quiet gun I switched shroud back around thinking loose stack bolt was the only problem. Big mistake, pellet clipping returned, so shroud went back, no more pellet clipping. Have to admit you always learn so much more when a problem presents itself. WM

I have clipping problems with my Airacuda Max too. Great posted advice, will look into this, thanks. Can I ask what length silencer/moderator are you using?

I'm so glad I found this. I have four different moderators and they all have major clipping problems on my Air Max 25. I contacted Pyramyd Air and they put me in touch with JTS. Terry reached out and said they are aware of the problem but didn't provide a fix. Only that they hope to figure something out later on. And when they do he will in turn contact me with a fix. Who knows when and how long that will take. Before I start this journey. How are you loosening the stack bolt.? I don't see where you can put a wrench on it. Are you sticking something in those two smaller holes on the outside of the washer bolt.?

It’s been a while and I don’t work on these guns much. I took a flat piece of 1/8 inch steel and welded two nails on it, bent them to fit in those holes that was the wrench I used.
