Nothing wrong with a high powered .25, but there's a group of us out there that know how effective a low powered .25 is for close range pests.

I'm right there with you. My .25 FX Crown is one such rifle that can be easily dialed back for urban backyard use. Starlings hate it.Nothing wrong with a high powered .25, but there's a group of us out there that know how effective a low powered .25 is for close range pests.
I think this is where the Huben K1 is so good. I get 90 fpe out of mine but I can dial it all the way down to about 10 if I want to.Nothing wrong with a high powered .25, but there's a group of us out there that know how effective a low powered .25 is for close range pests.
I've got my .25 Bandit carbine shooting 27 grain wadcutters at 480 fps. It absolutely wrecks mice and bounces off of barn walls.I'm right there with you. My .25 FX Crown is one such rifle that can be easily dialed back for urban backyard use. Starlings hate it.
What settings are you using for that? It’s kind of hard for me to choose. My Impact M3 is really hard to beat, although I have a Wildcat Mk III BT Compact that I’ve tuned to sling FX 34 grain pellets at 66 FPE that I also love. Then there’s my Leshiy 2…
I guess I’m gonna have to have a shootout this afternoon just to see
Experimentation calls for possible materials or parts to explore. All those mods necessary to get it shooting like that?
I have the slow twist .22 LR and it shoots great. I also have one of the new RPB barrels in .25 on its way to me from the RTI Arms store. Looking forward to seeing how it compares up against the 22 LR.RTI Prophet Performance 1. Slow twist 1:32 polygonal stainless steel barrel lets you shoot pellets as fast as you want and still maintain accuracy. Great results shooting either 25 or 34g at 900fps. Super easy rifle to adjust - all adjustments (reg and hammer spring preload) are external with no disassembly required.
