Favorite Straight Forward, Simple but Rugged PCP Platforms

I’ve been thinking about this for a couple of weeks. I’m looking for ideas concerning a straightforward platform build that is pretty simple without a lot of small and intricate internal parts with tiny springs, balls bearings, plastic, or (a dozen) o-rings. Unregulated is fine. Preferably an airgun that’s fairly easy to disassemble and service that isn’t built awkwardly or unusually. I prefer a hunting gun (.22 - .45), but whatever you can think of that fits the bill is fine. I’d like to read your suggestions. If you can recall previous threads like this one please link them in this one. Thanks folks.

Budget? Everything in life is a compromise.

Power level?
Shot count?
Repeater or SS?
Noise level?
Length?
Weight?

Frankly with out a regulator it’s hard to get to good shot count and power with a mag. Most unregulated guns need a long barrel and don’t have good power unless you go Airforce or big bore route but low shot count and loud.

In the low budget side I say BSA Gamos or maurauder and I’ll let everyone else suggest the expensive options. Personal opinion: why pay a lot of money for a simple gun?

@qball I was intentionally vague. The budget range isn’t a large concern. Shot count isn’t too large of a concern considering that I shoot big bores where 5 shots per fill is pushing it. I can hunt with repeaters and single shots, it just depends upon the animal and the circumstances. Length can vary for the aforementioned reasons. I really don’t want to have to carry a gun weighing more than 9.5 lbs if I’m going to be on the move. If stationary and set up on a rest, table, bipod, tripod then a <15lb rifle works for me. I own some of the suggested platforms, but I’m interested in what else is out there and what others think. Hopefully this thread helps others as well.

Another pretty simple platform that I haven’t seen mentioned is the Benjamin Bulldog. It has the proven potential to enhance performance by installing some pretty basic parts (heavier hammer spring, barrel supports, etc). It can also be sent in for more precise performance mods that are best left to a skilled machinist and airgunsmith.
