Feels Good

Been away from home for the last 6 weeks due to a family emergency. Sure feels good to be back behind the scope on the airguns. Spent most of the day today shooting steel, filling bait stations- I mean bird feeders, and just shooting and filling air tanks. Even put a different scope on one just so I had a reason to sight it in and shoot some more. Definitely had symptoms of withdrawal. Good thing it was an easy cure.

Took similar break myself, late summer Florida heat and humidity is too much for comfortable shooting. Hurricane Milton broke that so cool, pleasant days now. Cleared out target area, new wood for backstop, cleaned/aired-up guns, then time to make targets. So nice to spend afternoons doing target work again, nice hobby to have, IMO. WM

Revin , I'm currently wearing my NRA "group therapy" T shirt . Airgunning is SO relaxing , whether outside or in the Man Cave.

Worried , hope you had no issues from the storm. I'm with you on the hobby . I'm retired now almost 4 yrs. Most folks thought I'd get some equipment & start my own business ( excavation/grading) after retirement. HA , I've only done one small job knocking an old stone chimney down for a nephew and beefing up his camp driveway w/ rented machines. That kind of "stuff" interferes w/ my shooting / pesting time !

Well, three tall pines in wooded lot next to me are leaning bad but not threatening if they go. No power for three days, 5500w Powermate generator took care of business. North of Tampa so tropical storm force winds only, not hurricane, ten miles inland so no storm surge issues. Still, no fun going thru it, price to pay for living here. Ideal time for hobby runs now till rainy season in Spring, feels good to be on this side of it. WM
