Feinwerkbau round up

I notice your Beeman jnc marked as 127D has a silencer - do you know if is it a Feinwerkbau standard part or available elsewhere. Also I assume the silencer would fit my Feinwerkbau 124 sport although I don't know how that would attach. Any advice please.

I do not own any silencers, they are muzzle weights with no properties to reduce noise. They are held on by a single grub screw and are made by HW.

Mike thanks for your explanation - do the muzzle weights provide any significant benefit? Also I suspect even if a silencer was available it would not really silence the action of the spring - would you agree? Best wishes, John

The muzzle weights help stabilize the rifle especially for offhand shooting and give a place to grasp while cocking. They "may" help tame barrel oscillation to a point also. No silencer will ever quiet spring noise that is not why they are made or how they work. A tune/lube/guide(s)/spring/kits can quiet a noisy action.

Many thanks again Mike - my rifle is going to my local gunsmith this week to be fitted with replacement genuine Feinwerkbau seals as the original piston seal has disintegrated (I assume as the pellets no longer make it out of the barrel). I'll diplomatically emphasise your advice re lubrication hoping the rifle will return to its original power but with less spring noise. Best wishes, John
