N/A Female Foster Fittings

Tired of these Chinese ones leaking. I’ve had 2-3 leak over the last month. They just get loose on the male fitting and leak under pressure.

Where do you guys get good quality fittings.
Be careful with your problem assessment. It is not just the Chinese and it is not just the female end. The problem is that there are no industry standard dimensions. Get your caliper out and measure, then state your findings before assessing blame. The best way to avoid this issue is to use fittings from the same manufacturer. The seal issue can also be poor O rings in the female end. Do your homework. I have seen those issues in all the stated areas.

You do know 90% of fittings are made in China? Been using quick disconnect fittings from China for years. Never have one leak or fail. Like someone above said, these quick disconnect fittings are NOT standard. Some I feel are too loose, some are too tight, some don't even fit. Even though they are all quick disconnect and looks the same. The size it's different by .01mm that makes a difference. Get one for the right size. I am thinking you are using the wrong size male to the wrong size female.

You're lucky. . . . . I have, it's exciting!

I was thinking the same thing. Everything seems to be Chinese these days.
I have not encountered any size mismatches, but I have had a couple leak. I have plenty of spares, so just swapped them out. That was three years ago, and have had no leaks since. Probably have a leak today now that I said that.

Pretty much all the fittings and the hardware are pure Chinesium "nowadays" Tesla is a very American manufacturer. Interestingly enough the parts content of cars and trucks is featured on the Mulroney sticker. That's the price the manufacturer posts on the inside window of new cars. My Tesla is 70% N. American, 20% Mexican and 10% from elsewhere. That 10% is likely the hardware and fittings.

The issues with Chinesium products? The materials themselves are highly suspect. Is that brass...or leaded brass? If Chinese leaded brass as it is easily machined and cheap.
A friend years ago had replacement jet ski impellers made in China, his first article samples were awesome, superior or equivalent to the OEM part and cheap. His container of impellers were not the same material and failed rapidly. Bankrupted him, oh that container? Could not even be sold for scrap stainless steel. The scrap yards (several) stated we don't know what it is, but it is not Stainless Steel. Buyer beware! Again the first article samples were excellent.
