@markhooper : They are in fact retired Greyhounds. I have been blessed to have had nine dogs in my life and the last six have been Greyhounds. Absolutely fabulous family members that had to endure horrible living conditions in their past lives as racers.
When adopting a Greyhound they strongly emphasize to never let them off the leash or you will never see them again. That may apply to individuals who have no clue of how to properly train a dog, but I had each Greyhounds trained in less than a week. No leashes while on property, three hot meals a day, 24/7 access to their outside pen, and much love.
