I got all the targets done. Next is the strings but that will have to wait. But that was a Big check off item. I have some targets and some club members have targets so basically we are set .

Unfortunately the TEXtreme Match Director is not available for hire as an Assistant Match Director. Matter of fact, I have it on "good" 'authority' that He would like to hire a good assistant. But as I understand it, he's having a hard time finding a good candidate to fill the (volunteer) position.
Something about the pay scale. So reportedly He recently increased the starting pay to include all the frijoles and Pepsi the assistant can ingest on match days, so long as said ingestions don't interfere with the Assistant To The Match Director's duties. Apparently there is some confusion from applicants trying to understand the 20 page contract...
Since none of the applicants to date speak English.

Well perhaps i am missing a thread but these items are every bit as important as targets:
#1) safety brief to read, sign and date. Someone here can share their clubs.
#2) release of liability waiver - don't sue me, i wont sue you legal form. Someone here can share their clubs.
#3) hours of operation - etc....
#4) depends on the arraignment you have with the range - INSURANCE?
#5) in the event of an emergency contact information that goes with #1) and #2)
some spray oil / rust inhibitor is nice also.
next if you want to upgrade a gamo target go to Quality Targets as they have faceplates that directly bolt to the Gamo target hole patterns and will beef up the target and provide variety. they are not expensive and they will cut holes to size requested

The insurance and waiver part are the first thing that had to be taken care of. AAFTA has all the forms and waivers. Plus the range has the waivers and insurance.
Safety is my top priority and I will have all the contact location as well as the range location for the 911 call. All of that is also provided by the range.
On sight I will have a puncture wound kit and free safety glasses if anyone does not have them.
I looked into public areas to use and nothing could be safe and insured.
Second priority is a portable toilet.
I will definitely upgrade the targets . But hopefully we can ware these targets out first.

it's also nice to have good lane markers that doubled as string holders - these are VERY cool and simple

Idea. I plan to out cinder blocks in the lanes and leave them there. Then clamp the targets to the blocks. The lane markers are a good idea . But I need to see if I am allowed to leave stuff set up .

That’s is really good . It not only shows the lane but the height keeps the rifle pointed down range.
