Video

"Regal_US"I cannot believe the level of super high quality gear in this video. How can you miss when the rifle is molded into your body :) - I guess when the wind blows!
As I see more of these videos of matches in UK and Europe I really wish we had access to gear like this the US. If anyone knows please post responses.
BUT...you do have "access" to gear like this in the US ;-) .... I will write up a Modders's checklist of sorts later . Bottom line - there are many very capable Airgun Modders like Allen Zasadsny who does 'pimping' jobs on any make of airgun...and Chip Smith for his titanium air cylinders...there are also chaps who do carbon fibre tube sleeving over main barrel (makes it rigid, no vibrations) and carbon LDCs - all USA based. Including barrel makers who supply to spec to hone and get the most out of your air rifle..

Most of all other parts like Rowan 'hamster' or knee rest as known in US, are available from online retailers...even RAW makes their own version.

If anything - it really is down to your passion & budget - and whether HFT or FT (does need, but NOT necessary for Shooters jacket), Bench Rest - disciplines requiring commitment to reach the top...

One super talented guy who comes to mind is Mike Niksch - Thomas Air. He's done a few FT rifles to killer specs ; Ok, I know $5K is bananas but that's really for hard core enthusiasts wanting the most accurate and best...not a requisite for newbies to get into a pleasurable sport that essentially is a hobby...

The advice typically given in UK to newbies is to get as a first an Air Arms S200 (CZ200) / S400 / S410 / S510 or AA HFT 500 and simply have a go at a few comps and decide, whether it will be FT or HFT. The thinking is "horses for courses" - you decide what makes you grin most...

Bottom line ? all air rifles at whatever budget start out - fresh out of box - and the owner 'pimps' it up over several seasons through mods., upgrades, and whatever you desire and can afford...
