Field Target Match - Delaware County PA Field & Stream - Sunday September 1

SUNDAY 1 SEPTEMBER 2024 AIRGUN FIELD TARGET MATCH

Delaware County Field & Stream Association DCFSA
713 Chester Creek Road, Brookhaven PA 19015

Sight-in opens at 07:45 at the Air Rifle Range at the top of the hill. (Drive past the clubhouse, drive uphill past the shotgun fields on your right, continue to the end of the lane.)

Safety meeting at 08:45, match starts at 09:00.

A 60-shot course, 30 targets, 8 targets >40 yards, average distance 30.4 yards, average Troyer 28.6.

The lanes in this match are more ‘in-line’, less ‘crossed strings’ than last match. [Six lanes in the ‘shotgun patterning’ field] + [four lanes in the airgun range]. One standing lane, one kneeling lane.

The lead reclamation work in the 'field target forest' is complete, however there is a lot of cleanup and lane cutting to be done before matches can resume in the ‘field target forest’...once we get permission to enter the reclamation area. Until then, come and enjoy the easily-accessible field course!

Fee $10.00

The weather forecast looks good…let’s hope so.

1 Sept 2024 Airgun Field Target results

The Labor Day Sunday was highlighted with a great field target match.
The conditions were very favorable…perhaps a bit on the warm side, with little to no wind.
The forecasted rain did not happen - yay!
We even started about 15 minutes early to escape the forecasted rain at the end of the match.
Altogether a great day to gather and knock over targets.

Hunter PCP was the most favored class.
When the scores were totaled, Mike Beyerle and Brian Wagner tied at 53 in Hunter PCP.
The tie was broken with a one-shot shoot-off…a standing 1 1/2-inch kill zone at 25 yards.
Congrats to Mike Beyerle for his accuracy!

Hector Medina amazed us all with his 50 (out of 60) score WITH A WFTF PISTON SETUP…WOW!

Thanks to club officer George Riley for his help with the match organization.
A BIG thanks to all for staying after the match to help break-down the setup…
…your labor (on the Labor Day weekend) is appreciated!
