Dave, Thanks for the info. The wording on the payment is not really clear to me and $18 shipping seems a little high when it will fit into a small postal "If it ships it fits box".

Couldn't a sub $50 trigger pull gauge/scale somehow be used which you probably already have?

OR!

Something like THIS buy the specific correct calibration model after you convert to foot pounds.

Probably buy same exact thing Domestically and pay 2x-3x the price.

As someone who has printed one of these for myself, I'd say $60 isn't a terrible price. Compared to a 3D printed sidewheel, it's a lot more printing and requires a couple of different springs and the steel rod.

Given my recent luck with postal shipping, I'd request a different shipper, LOL

Thanks gentlemen for your comments. Odoyle, The idea for the printed target tester is to replicate the energy of the pellet hitting the paddle. Years past I have use a Beeman P3 pistol that generates 3 to 4 ft/lbs of energy leaving the barrel. The assumption I believe is that in FT the WFTF who are only allowed to use l2 ft/lbs of energy has the ability to knock down 55 yards metal targets while a 20 ft/lb Open or Hunter class rifle set up will not drop the target on a face plate hit. I don't think the minimum drop tester can be used for this purpose. Ensuring a maximun 20 ft/lb rifle that can be used in Open and Hunter will not drop the target on a face plate hit is another concern but that the printed tester can not address I don''t believe. At serious competitions all rifles should be chronographed but sometimes they are not.

Danny, I think the price for the 3-D printer is in the ballpark but the shipping as mentioned is hefty. Agreed, shipping has really sucked as of the last few months especially USPS priority mail! I'm still waiting for a package that was shipped 10 days ago from North Carolina and It has not left the state yet, but has made it from Winston Salem to Greensboro.

if you print your own, remember the biggest challenge is finding the proper springs and rod diameter that are metric or calibrated correctly. That alone is worth buying it from here.
oh and the price? Don’t even blink at it, trust me you are getting a smoking deal.
