Field Target Trophy Power

Dear all,

Greetings from Dubai.

I have a HW80 4.5 and loving every bit of it. I recently discovered Field Target Trophy Power From H&N. Beautiful pellet. Love the copper coating (I hope that is the one they are using)

What is the feedback on these pellets from you all ? Do you suggest it against traditional tin pellets ?

Thx a lot in advance.

Cheers,

Ajith

If they work for you then great. I have not seen them perform any better than the uncoated FTs. They might be a more snug fit for an over sized bore. That said, if you are looking for no exposure to lead then these are only slightly better.

Thank you you for the feedback buddy. They are not better than normal pellets, but yes, less exposure to led seems to be an advantage !

Do they do any harm to the barrel ? The local gun shop said, they might damage the barrel.

The coating is only microns thick so it should not damage the barrel. It may buildup faster/differently though, requiring more frequent cleaning.

My Benjamin Marauder Pistol (Prod) favorite pellet is copper coated FTTs. It does not like uncoated FTTs at all. Crosman domed and HP shoot better than uncoated FTTs. But coated shoot best of all I've tried. I've shot thousands at this point and my barrel is fine. I am sure it will stay that way. Copper is slightly harder than lead but I don't think you can wear a barrel out with copper coated pellets. PBs wear out barrels but it is not from the projectiles, it is from the powder burning in the barrel. With air as a propellant there is no damage to the barrel and very little wear from the pellet. The road to success with pellet guns starts with feeding them pellets they like. Steel barrels are much harder than copper and the rifling goes through the thin copper coating.
