Hi all, just pumped up my brocock commander ready for a session on rabbits tomorrow and when i bleed off the air from the pump all the air decided to bleed from the gun to. Do i just need to service the filler port on the gun to resolve this?
His response would go NUCLEAR! Some might call it... atomicHere we go again . . . same Brocock fill valve issue. I and a couple others have created threads on this issue - it's a faulty / difficult to work on fill valve that is the culprit. They have an updated valve that I think solves this issue now. I'll dig around and link you to one of those previous threads.
I'll refrain from again calling this a stupid design flaw so that l.leon won't have to come into this thread to defend Brocock
EDIT: here is the last thread on this topic, which also contains links to my previous thread about it as well as thread with the eventual fix:
Strange filling issue, bleeding hose empties cylinder?!
This issue is consistent with bottle and compressor, and only affects 1 of my pcps.. It’s my Brocock atomic xr. So once the gun is filled up and I stop the pump or close the bottle. When I open the bleed valve slowly all the air from the cylinder leaks out! Now.. if I do everything the same...www.airgunnation.com
LOL I see what you did there...His response would go NUCLEAR! Some might call it... atomic
Ouch! Hand pumping definitely isn’t any funAlready in the habbit of lubing every now and again. The worst bit is i gotta pump the ****er by hand aswell
It is definitely up my alley since I prefer the carbine guns. I really like the bantam sniper and hope to get one someday.I had the issue once with my Compatto and once with my Bantam HR. In the case of the Bantam? I inadvertently blasted HPA into the valve and dislodged the Oring there. A simple O ring replacement fixed the Compatto, on the Bantam I simply pushed the Oring back into the groove it got blown out of. My Atomic XR which I pump by hand, by choice, has not leaked at all. It is such a simple fix, it really is a non issue. Not the “stoopid design flaw” some want to blow it up to be.The only things that I go Atomic on, are those pesky grain stealing pests. The results prove time after time what an awesome little platform it is.
