Fill tank recommendations

Hi All,
I am new to this forum and new to airgunning. This is my first post, so please be gentle lol. I just purchased a new FX Panthera 700 with plans of using in 22 PRS and airgun competitions. I'm looking for recommendations of an external fill tank that I can fill and use in between stages. If possible I would like to stay under $400. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Erik

There have been a couple good deals in the classifieds the last week. Another thing you need to think about is how to fill the tank.
Only 9 days and 9 more posts to go, hang in there.
I was also going to purchase a small 4500psi air compressor. I'm not sure if one of the small compressors will fill a tank that size though.
Only 7 posts now lol

Understood. That much I did know. Are people using expired or off brand tanks and filling themselves though?
I don't know about expired or "off brand" but I fill all my own tanks & guns.
Most of the major Asian manufacturers like Acecare, Tuxing, Alsafe offer CE certification and DOT certification.
DOT will cost you 50-100% more than CE.

If I bought one that is only CE, would one of the small compressors fill the tank? Sorry, I'm a complete noob to all of this.

I had a cheapo compressor (gave to my nephew who is still running it) and I could fill a 6.8L tank with it.
Run 30 minutes
Cool 1 hour
repeat until full

Downside of that is that you run the compressor at high compression for a longer time which probably does not help the lifecycle of the compressor.

Relatively new ( November) done it from hand pump( don’t bother) $ 200 small Amazon ( ok but noisy hot and slow, can’t run long) then there’s the Gx cs4i . That and a Tuxing ahh say 6.8 liter with valve for about $220. Will satisfy you . Yes you can get away with less $$ but not much for something that will do it all. You can also listen to the high $ guys and spend big $s for a compressor

I don't know where you'll be shooting at or even your intended use for airguns but, I have 5 tanks and rarely use them anymore. I shoot at home and use a GX CS3 compressor to fill most of them. For higher pressure guns I use a Yong Heng compressor.
I live in New England and will be doing PRS style shooting with the rifle. Are your tanks DOT cert?

Yes . 3 scba tanks that are expired. A steel scuba 80 cf tank and an aluminum 100 cf tank that had been hydro tested within the past 5 years. I did have Mr. George of Sea Divers in Ozark Al. have a look at all of them before he passed away.
