Fill tank recommendations

Have you ordered through AliExpress? I never have. Are they reliable? If they are a reliable source, then i will just buy the one in the link that you provided.
I order from them all the time. You do need to be VERY careful as there are many scams running.
On AliExpress you also need to be sure WHAT you order, as the picture may not be the item.
You have to go to the page and look at the options.
The other one is that a REALLY good price is not what you think it is.
Too good to be true is ALWAYS a scam.

No problem here.

Should I find a different bottle to buy? The description looks accurate

I refilled my 45 minute used, expired, Scott fireman's tank today using my Yong Heng compressor. The tank only cost about $100 but I bought a good fill set after a bad experience with a cheap one. My compressor and tank will be 4 years old (my use in case of the tank) in April. Both work great. My Yong Heng refilled the tank from 3000 psi to 300 bar in 30 minutes. A full bottle lasts me about a month.

It's hard to know the relative quality of carbon fiber bottles but fireman's equipment is much more expensive than similar bottles sold for paint ball or pcps. I think a well cared for expired Scott bottle is plenty safe and may be preferable to inexpensive new bottles.

No, AceCare is great.
Acecare, Alsafe, Tuxing
All are quality tanks.

I'm pretty sure Alsafe and Acecare are the same product.

Don't expect the Amazon level of support. You can return most things within 90 days but they take their time returning your money

If there were issues with ANY of the "inexpensive new bottles" we would hear the screaming through our monitors.

But there are none. Your Scott tank is fine, they just weigh a whole lot more than the "inexpensive new bottles ".

Eric, I have that same compressor, mine is fairly new with just over an hour on it. Some on here have had bad luck with them, I think mainly because of using the wrong oil. With proper break in, the right oil and watching your temperature, I think they are a good buy. Mine will top off my 45 minute SCBA from 3400 to 4500 in 11 minutes. I bought mine off of aliexpress and it came within a week with no problems.

Well I ran a post under THIS IS A TEST
I ordered 4 unbelievably cheap item from Aliexpress
I received a bag of stuff today and orders were said to be delivered
1) nice looking garden cart
2) 11 foot collapsible ladder
3) small welder
4) garden shed

remember I said this is a test ! I wasn’t being a sucker !
this is what I got in 3 little individual bags with ordered items names
image.jpg

Any larger reasonably priced item has been received as bought.
Already contacted Aliexpress about refund which I expect will be no problem
Listen to Matt above. If it looks too good it’s a scam. I had to prove it to myself
Eric don’t worry about buying your tank and compressor from them

I ordered my Yong Heng from Amazon even though it was a little more mainly because they are so good about refunds and returns. There seem to be a lot of quasi Yong Hengs and I wanted one I could get parts for. I buy little things from aliexpress but not normally big stuff. I worry about returns and warranty but they may be fine.

I wasn't aware my Scott bottle is relatively heavy. I don't see that as a bad thing since it suggests it is more robustly constructed.

Yeah, those "screw jobs" have been rampant recently.
Prices are unbelievable.
I think I saw a 4000 watt dual fuel generator for $2.88...
AliExpress will give you your money back.

UPDATE:

I ended up buying an Tuxing 6.8L tank with the dual gauge valve assy and dedicated fill port. Very nice looking build quality with regards to the tank and valve assy. I also purchased a GX CS4 compressor to fill the 6.8L and top off my 250 and 300bar tanks. Very pleased thus far. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the thread!

Not a big fan of that fill valve. You have to fill the tank through the outlet hose. You have to remember to close the valve or you drain the tank.

Upside it will fill a bottle fast. Which can be hard on one way valves.
As a user of that valve bottle configuration for 3 years, I cannot complain. It works great for both filling the bottle and the guns. I use a large Bauer 4 cylinder compressor as well. I had to make an output manifold for the compressor that features a male foster fitting without the check valve. I do use 12 liter bottles as opposed to the smaller versions.

I also have to state that bottle certification is not necessary if you are filling your bottles yourself. The certified bottles cost more because the the certification itself is expensive to perform. The certification does not make the bottles better, it only means they passed the test. As far as safety is concerned, common sense and due diligence is required for the use of these things certified or not

One of my 9L has the high volume valve. I just forget to close the valve before draining the air from the hose and filters.

But it does eat the oring in the foster one way fill nipple on occasion. Which is why I keep a bunch of spares. When I get 3 or 4 leaking nipples I fix them and back into spares they go.

It will fill a bottle faster than anything else.
