I am having problems making filters that actually filters HELP

Thanks for the prompt reply I am familiar with making filters for other programs. Nothing really changes when I select the the listed choices.. Mostly I would like to have them in chronological order

I am trying to place forum posts into chronological order, most recent to past. No matter how I configure the filter, the order of posts remains the same.

Ahhhhh, I ThINK i know what your trying to do, the posts are oldest to newest already, You may see one from 2016 BUT someone jumped in yesterday, they are going to be at the end of the heap. If you're looking for a specific just search, then dig. Am I close?

Ahhhhh, I ThINK i know what your trying to do, the posts are oldest to newest already, You may see one from 2016 BUT someone jumped in yesterday, they are going to be at the end of the heap. If you're looking for a specific just search, then dig. Am I close?

thanks for the reply Sometimes I get the sequence I want from newest to oldest However, after the first few, some from years ago pop up.

Thanks for the reply Show only and Started by are the first two headings under filters. I have been leaving them empty because I am interested in all posts.
