Finally broke my vortex, now what?

not sure if the Arken scopes are spring rated as I do know they can take a 50 bmg great scopes for sure built like steel usa made
Nice set up there!! They are definitely on my list.
I'm still considering the whiskeyasp scope since its "made" for the asp.
So many options...

We were shooting the HW97, HW80, Diana 48, and ASP 20. I was surprised at how much snap it does have, and it was the loudest of the bunch. I could only tell that when I stepped away and others were shooting. We had 2 stations set up, so when it was another employees turn, I could sit and observe between the two stations with my binoculars. I think the 48 was next loudest followed by the 80 then the 97. I'd have to confirm that with testing, but I really have no need to at this time.
I'd also argue that the "kick" followed the same progression. I noticed the HW80 had some twang relative to the 48, but it shot better than the 48 when it wasnt loosening the screws (the 80 was the worst offender here--kept needing to check the screws as soon as the shot groups would open up). The 80 is the newest gun with probably fewer than 500 shots, and it had the most twang. Still a pleasure to shoot, and I did recently do a "service and lube" on my 48 which could explain how smooth it was shooting.
The 97 and asp20 had the least twangy and cleanest shot cycles of the group, followed by the 48 then the 80.

So, given my impatient nature, i picked up a whiskey asp scope due to arrive today. I know Vortex will stand behind their product, but I figured I'd try the scope sig developed along with this gun in mind. The price was ridiculously cheap (the deal was $134), and the specs seem decent. I'll get vortex to service or replave the scope then figure out my next move.....maybe I'll need a gun for the extra scope lol.
I'll let you guys know how the scope seems. I figured I'll get back into commission very quickly for a cheap price which will allow me the leeway to either stick with the whiskeyasp, or get something definitively better without having to make a snap decision. At least I'll get a chance to experience the benefits of paralax adjustment for cheap. If it's a must have, then I'll be able to search arou d with no pressure while atill being able to shoot and enjoy my gun.

That Whiskey Asp scope might be all you will need.
When I bought my 34p it came with an RWS scope. I was sure it would be good as it came as a combo. It didn’t make it past 30 shots.

Well... Mounted the whiskeyasp. Glass is VERY clear, seems well built. Time will tell. Did some light shooting today, pictured is my last grouping at 30. Too cold to keep trying targets today.....
I will forever get scopes with parallax going forward. I REALLY enjoy adjusting the parallax, can't believe I shot without it!! I guess when my other Vortex goes, I'll replace it with something with parallax...

So, Sig offers a ballistic-matched turret for no charge, which is pretty cool. I may have one shipped to me. If I do, I'll test it and post the results. First, I'll have to re-chrony the pellet I use. I'm not certain how long it'll take to get it manufactured and shipped, but I'm very interested in the outcome.

Got back the vortex. They opted to completely replace the scope. Brand new optic going to go on one of my unscoped bolt action rifles!

It has moa turrets, and a mil reticle, and AO instead of a side focus. I forgot that I had one of these, sold it because of these aspects.
A mil reticle goes best with mil turrets and a moa reticle goes best with moa turrets - simple.
