JSB 18.1g tin @ 500 pellets = $20 per tin average price
RF match grade ammo ( Eley Tenex, RWS50 & RWS100, Lapua Midas Plus, Lapua Long and Super Long Range, et al.);
Let’s say the average RF match ammo is about 40 cents per round x 50 rounds per box = $20 per box of 50 rounds.
10X ( 500 pellets vs. 50 .22 RF rounds) the amount of pellets for the same price at $20.
I do like shooting my N50 targets with my Annie’s, but I shoot my air rifles a lot more. I tried a lot of the cheaper RF ammo, and it shoots so poorly for competitive paper targets at 50y and 100y, I would rather use the better ammo to score better.
If your just plinking or shooting steel, I understand the cheaper ammo game as well. Two different disciplines.
