Finally getting a PCP Pistol need some advice.

Indeed, and a pistol with a removable folding stock is still a pistol when one wants it to be.

Brian had already made it clear his decision to get the HW44. I made no attempt to convince him to get something different, and if you re-read my response you will find no mention of a PP700. Please don’t attribute motive where none exists.

I put in my orders today I’m getting the HK44 in .177 caliber, I’m getting it from Krale’s in the Netherlands as the ones sold here don’t have the ability to detach the moderator. I think it would make cleaning the gun a lot easier with the moderator removed. For a scope I had difficulty finding one under $300 made for pistols, there are only a few long eye relief scopes out there. I got a UTG 2-7x32 I got it direct from Leapers with the military discount and if I’m not satisfied I can return within 30 days. With discount it was under $90.00.

For those of you that aren’t familiar with long eye relief most Rifle scopes your eye can only be 3-4 inches away from the back of the scope. When using a pistol with your arm extended it becomes unusable. The particular scope I got your eye can be upto 25 inches behind the scope and still see the target. I should have everything by early next week can’t wait. Thanks again to everyone who replied to my post your input was helpful and appreciated.

Brian:

Well, I finally ran a full bottle shot string on my new Weihrauch HW44 .177 cal. and I am extremely pleased! Better than advertised, actually. From 200 bar down to 120 bar, I got 22 regulated shots at an average of 823.1 fps (12.70 ft#) shooting JSB Exact 8.44 gr. with an SD of 5.49.

I plan on zeroing her later today. The proof is in the pudding; I'll let you know how she does in the field.
