finally got this smart Rat after 3 weeks

I finally put a hole in this genius Rat, I call him Hawkins, he wouldn't go for the Rat traps I had set with all sorts of goodies in them, he knows the Jaws of death and what they do, so I tried for several weeks to shoot the Rat, but he was on to what I was trying to do, he wouldn't show himself at all when I had the tripod and chair setup, even in the dark, well I finally found his weakness, Strawberry Jelly, put a spoon full on the floor and setup a camo blind and laid on the floor with a couple pillows to rest the Prod on, turned out the lights and within 10 minutes he came out of his hiding spot under the dishwasher, he went right for the Jelly, I waited till he had his body out far enough to get a good shot and let him have it, JSB 14.3 diabolo into the heart, Hawkins finally screwed up and dropped his guard and now he is a dead Rat, I put him outside where the local possum came through on a clean up mission and munched him down...... :)

Kevin, your due diligence paid off after 3 grueling weeks! Nice shot and photos!

Blind and tripod in the living room... AWESOME!

Kevin, I applaud you!! 👏

You are a good man.
(Sure, you are a cold-hearted killer, but nevertheless, you're good man.)

⭕ If you (and I) would put out the kind of persistance at our jobs that we show when in a (3-week long) pursuit of one rat — we'd likely be millionaires, or nobel prize winners, or both.

🔷 But as things stand, we're just airgunners.
No-one understands us — unless they got infected by the same AG virus.
No cure there. No vaccine. No masks.
Just plain nuts. AG nuts.

OK, got to stop writing now and keep preparing the next critter ambush....

Kevin, you're a good man.

Good idea 👍

I have a mouse that has been avoiding me for about a month maybe more. It loves bird seed. Peanut butter. Not so much. The biggest problem is it comes out then disappears for a half hour or more.
Well tonight I put a little dab of some of my home made blackberry jam down there.
Let’s see if it will sit around long enough for me to get a shot.
