Well, after many days of either rain or wind, finally got to see what hunting pellets my new-to-me Wildcat Mk3 likes. 25 cal compact, 500mm barrel. Reg at about 145 bar, hammer spring close to max, pushing most of them about 920-930fps. USO 3-12x44. DonnyFL Tatsu. Didn't tune for each pellet. Wanted to see what they would do being pushed close to max (reasonable max) power out of this rig, and the weights are all very similar (26-28gn). Tested the FX Atomics, H&N Baracuda Hunters, Baracuda Hunter Extremes, and the Polymags

Been shooting it at steel and paper quite a bit the last couple weeks, but this was my first chance to lay down purpose driven groups at 40yds. I can safely say this is the first time that H&N hunting pellets have ever taken the top spot in my testing. The (X'd) out shots were a couple of sighters on the lower right bull.

Now back to Pyramyd to stock up on those Extremes. About 1 MOA with unsorted hunting pellets at 40...can't ask for more, IMO. They'll be in my mags and busting the bunnies and bushy tails next season.

I’m surprised the Atomics didn’t do a little better. I’ve used Atomics in 177 and 22 and my rifles prefer the JSB Hades for some reason.

I was surprised, too. The Atomics are my #1 go-to pellet out of my 22 Dreamlite Compact which I use for most of my small game hunting and general paper punching. I was rooting for the Atomics.
