Finally made it out to the range again today and what a day! A little cold in the morning in the low 40s but sunny and very little wind. Zeroed at 50 yards and went straight to the 300 yards range, even had the 300 yard range all to myself for 2 hours. Setup some targets at 300 yards and went to town. Well I mainly shot at the berm to get my POI correct before I shot at the target because it’s a long walk.
Hastily zeroed at 50 yards at 100 yard range then moved everything to 300 yard range, the one on the right was pulled by me.
Very little wind today but getting on paper is still no easy task, happy with some of my groups for first time at 300 yards. this target has 2 groups but forgot exactly which POI in the middle is which group, the POAs we’re middle and lower left red squares.
I think this one has 2 POAs also but most of the shots were from aiming at center red square.
Not great but not bad. My impact was acting up today and my reg gauge showed 0 bars so didn’t bother with tuning and just zeroed and went long. Fortunately the gun shot pretty well all things considered. I think I can get the groups much tighter because the impact at this power level is very hold sensitive, I have to be very consistent or it could be off by a couple of feet. Also recoil management is also starting to make a difference, need a proper bag rider. Went through the last 2 boxes of 29 grain NSA slugs so will be testing 34.9 grain soon once I get her all fixed up and also add the slug power kit.
