FX Finaly got an M3 impact

Got hold of a slightly used M3 for 1300usd with digital preassure gauge, saber tactical top and under rail in .177 today.
I want to buy a liner kit in .25 but dont know if I should go 600 or 700mm. IF I go 700 i have to take off my air stripper everytime i but it in case, and I like the look with 600mm better. And is slug probe a "must have" in theese when shooting slugs?
And how do I adjust preassures and stuff cuz the manual didnt Come with it and I cant find any obvious screws to adjust xD

I prefer the 600 mm barrel as the 700 is too long for my liking when hunting.
I use the pellet probe with the barrel on the slug port. I have no experience with the slug probe but also don't use heavy slugs.
Regarding adjusting reg pressure I'd suggest searching for Youtube videos on that subject.
A video is worth a thousand words.

Have a .22/700m Impact and it's the shortest gun in the safe.

Don't think the 4 inches of difference between the 600 and 700mm barrel would be an insurmountable difference when out hunting. I'd gladly accept a (slight) inconvenience of a longer barrel in trade for better performance. The extra length really will show its worth if you're wanting to shoot slugs at higher velocities.

But then, I store my guns in a safe and have several larger cases if I need one.

Cheers!

Oh, and nice score one a great airgun!

I have a mk2 in 700 and a m3 in 600mm. I don’t find a huge difference in them lugging them around. If you are really into pushing the heavy limits of the caliber get the 700. Gun will work less hard and require less air. Always ramifications of running a gun super hard. When I got my mk2 it (valve pin) wouldn’t seal at normal operating pressures from being run at 170 bar for too long. Had to replace it right away as I just shoot pellets. I can say my m3 in .25 (600 mm) easily pushes the 34 gr heavies to 910 fps at only 110 bar.

I have a bunch of .25cal 33gr zan slugs, 1 pack of 37gr and 1 pack of nsa 43.5gr. My shooting is mainly up 160m so I hope the 33's Will do Wonders and still get a good shot count. I only got 20 isj shots off with my crown mk2 with those slugs, but I was running 155bar on that.

Edit: i have 1 digital sekhmet gauge on the bottle preassure side, but now that I orderd a angled bracket i was thinking of moving it there. Is there any reason not to do it?

Ok, that helps alot, was Just worrying about if I could damage my reg if I turn the wrong way
FX says it’s ok to adjust to lower reg while pressurized but take shots while doing so, but me personally, I wouldn’t do it, especially if you’re in tuning mode and doing that a lot. In time the delrin tipped piston will get scored and you’ll start to see creep. I’m speaking from experience. Once your reg starts creeping you’re going to regret not having done it the correct way, which is to drain the gun completely of air, close the reg to s soft stop, back out one whole turn then repressurize the gun with air. From there raise the reg to your liking

I would move it there. I have a mk2 I bought used it has the sekhmets on both bottle and reg. The one on the bottle pressure drives me nuts as it turns off all the time while trying to keep track when filling. I’m taking it off there and buying a regular gauge. I have an orcair digital on my Maverick that I actually like more than the sekhmet and it costs like half as much.
