Finding a slug to fit my m3 .25 well.

I can start with that I use the king heavy 33.95gr as a referanse since those shoot 1 hole groups at 50m @910fps.

I have tried 28gr, 33gr, 35gr and 37gr from zan in speeds 950 up to 1020 and none of them group as the pellets does at 50m.
I have also tried nsa 43.5gr from 950 to 1000fps and its no Luck there either.

I have 700mm heavy liner tension barrel with carbon sleave.

I hope to get my KO mk2 today so I can try them, my supplier have HN slugs and wildman too but they are super expensive and I have not had any Luck with them in my crown mk2 earlier so I have not orderd them yet.

Would realy like to shoot slugs, but as it is now I get a hell of a lot of shots out of my 480 bottle with 2nd reg at 90bar xD

Try out the apolo 33gr and 40gr they 200 slugs for under $13 they've worked well in every gun I have had. Cricket, vulcan, impact, daystate, leshiy classic, hatsan

My M3 700mm w/1:16 STX Slug Liner shoots the H&N 40gr heavy slugs and the 40gr Javelin slugs very good at 970 fps.
Where did you a 1:16 for the .25?

The KO mk2's i got today was not grouping any better, maybe i need to try lighter slugs like the 26gr hybrids or something, but the supplier in norway dont have them and its a pita to order from any other country with taxes and security controls and stuff.

Edit: this is what I have to choose from.

Whats the ES numbers you are getting during your tuning at the best settings?

I start at 950 and work my way up, and I increase with around 10fps, but I dont reset my chrono for every 5 shot group. But I am around 5-10 ES on each "step" i take.
If it's not grouping with ANY slugs, then it's a gun issue. You may want to look into the faster twist barrel. Most peoplewho got the impact .25 did not have any luck shooting skugs out if it.

Mine is shooting fx hybrids very good but I ordered the tensioned barrel system and I dont know if it came with the 1:18 or 1:16. I asked utah airguns but he said he wouldnt know which it came with. Evidently after a certain date the tensioned system would come with the 1:16 for the .25. I dont want to pull it apart to verify since I got it shooting good. I bought mine in the last 3 months so theres a chance its the 1:16.

You also need to adjust the valve knob. Once you get the tightest group playing with the macro, micro and regulated pressure you finish the tune by slowly adjusting the valve knob from max. I started with 1/4 turns then smaller as the ES dropped and the groups tightened. You want high enough reg pressure and the hammer force to just pop the valve open and close quickly for a quick high pressure burst of air. If you dont adjust the valve and its staying open longer than the absolute minimum time needed to reach your velocity accuracy seems to suffer. My testing showed high reg pressure with the hammer energy to be on the knee and the valve closed to just above the 4th line gives excellent accuracy. So I think the valve knob was closed 1 full turn from max open on mine to get it right. I would say a little lower on the knee than I would tune a pellet setup.

I guess i do the total opposite, i try the lowest possible preassure with vale a few turns out past the 4th line, i Will set preassure at 150 and turn the valve in tomorrow and start from scratch again :)
