Results First Air Gun vs Rimfire Match at Wickenberg Sportsmen Club Oct 24

You got me on that one Yrrah, yes there was hot dogs and sandwiches there. Dennis F. and the Wickenberg Sportsmans Club put on a great morning of shooting.
We started with 25 meter benchrest card 25 shoots for score then did a timed paper silhouette shoot, we had three minutes to shoot 20 animals. Then we took a break for lunch and we ended the day with a Whiskey Challenge everyone who wanted to entered paid $1 to shoot a target out at 50 yards closes to the center would take home the Jack Daniel's Whiskey.

Ok I checked with the match Director Dennis F. and he said this was a fun shoot so no report will be made. Dont hold me to the following scores I believe the top benchrest score went to the .22 rim fire guys with I think was a 237 and top score for air rifle was a 229. In the speed silhouette the best time was 1 1/2 min and perfect score of 20 went to the air rifles, best .22 rim fire was 2 1/2 min and a score of 13. The top two closes shoots for the Whiskey Challenge went to the air rifle guys. At the end of the day I think all had fun and would love to try this match again. Thanks to Dennis F. and the Wickenburg Sportsmen's Club for putting on such an interesting match.

Thanks for the "unofficial" report!
My curiosity was half that and half wondering if some of the rimfire guys were "shown the light", in a matter of speaking, that the air rifle stereotype is far from true. We've come a long way from the 'ol red ryder's and break barrels of old.
I'd like to try to be a part of this next year, if possible!

When I talked to Dennis F. he said that the rim fire guys enjoyed themselfs and would like to do the match again. Dennis said he was thinking of just shoot a benchrest match at 25 meter. There would be 3 cards of 25 bulls for a total of 75 scored shoots not counting sighters. He was planning on doing the match sometime in December or January and trying not to conflict with any matches going on at Phoenix Airgun Club held at Rio Salado Sportsman's Club in Mesa if posible because also shoots there. If there is a match planned I will post it here as soon as possible so people can make plans to attend.
