Oh okay. Thanks. Are there any pcp rifles in .22 that do not have a sound suppressor of any kind on it? I live behind enemy lines in a socialist state. Any type of noise dampening system is a big no no to the Gestapo.

Maximus is one without any suppression. I'd have to look for more but that's the first that comes to mind

Mrod doesn’t have a silencer or ldc of any type stock. It’s just a shrouded barrel w baffles. Pretty backyard friendly just the way it is. Shoudn’t be a problem stock where you are.

After reading and watching many reviews, you have me convinced on the Maximus. The only thing I don't like is that cast metal bolt handle. I'm just going to order a stainless steel one same time I order the rifle, and replace it right off the bat before it snaps off.

I think you'll be extremely happy with a Maximus. You'll also get addicted to just being able to load and shoot between pumping, then you'll decide pumping isn't any fun and get a tank, then you'll decide you want more than the Maximus, or want a better scope, or, or, or.
As for the bolt, don't think you need to worry about it breaking, but that upgraded bolt will work well, and you have to be confident in your rifle, or it takes all the fun out of it.
Even though I plan on buying an FX later this year for my second rifle, the Maximus is soooooo tempting I may buy one anyway.
So which did you buy, the .177 or .22, and I assume the full powered US version, not the European version?

Locker50, you have more discipline than I do. I've got powder burners, but rarely shoot them anymore. I have almost 50 yards in the back of the house and a gazebo no one uses but me (and a shooting bench inside). It does tickle my shooting bone.

Nice that you have 50 yds in your back yard! I have about 40, but I have houses around me. But, it's a very small community, and we are surrounded by 1000's of acres of woods just a block or two walk in any direction.

Okay. So I ordered my first air gun. Benjamin maximus in .22. Now, question is, what kind and weight pellets should I try to see what she likes? Looking for accurate, effective hunting pellet.

Benjamins are usually tuned to the 14.3 grain Premier Dome. I'd start there, and then try some JSB's. My Marauder likes both the 14.3 Premier domes and the JSB Heavies at 18.3 grains. Just a starting point though. As time goes on, you can try different brands and weights to find the pellet's the Maximus really likes.

Here she is. She's my squirrel and rabbit hunter. First air gun ever. First shots will be tomorrow morning, unless it's snowing in this seemingly never ending winter.

Than you. Came from PA. crappy packaging, but not a scratch on it. I attached the scope. Leapers 3-12x40 AO Hunter. Had to take off rear sight though. Used medium rings, cause I like a scope as close to the bore as possible.

I looked for quite awhile. Got a FX Impact, very nice. I figured what the hell, I can't take my money with me. Might as well spend it and have a good time.
