JTS First Blood for MAX

Yesterday, set rain-soaked patio furniture in sunshine to dry, guess crows got curious. Knowing patio door movement means trouble, lookouts kept eyes peeled, while others investigated. MAX and I slipped out garage side door and, steadying on A/C unit, drilled a Hades 26.56 grain right thru this guy's noggin @ 30 yards. First time, since October 2022, that MAX earned his keep, felt good for both of us. WM

Worried , I had 3 crows here under the bird feeders twice this morning, Tempting , but w/ temps in the single digits & the snow was so pristine & undisturbed
I thought no sense mucking it up w/ footprints( & blood):devilish: ,so they went about their business. Good thing it wasn't at the farm on the silage covers.

Shot a squirrel with my Reximex pistol. It didn’t go easy. Three shots and a 20 ft blood trail. Would’ve thought you were tracking a bow hit deer. Wife saw snow two days later and said clean that up. She was serious. Didn’t get her way this time.

Decent of you, I give no quarter with crows, several year struggle to stop these nest raiders has brought songbirds back from the brink. Still crows around, just not as much as there used to be. WM
