First FOX 🦊 ever, and with an airgun! (Graphic)

 Went out to my stand tonight. It’s nice and cool for the first time. I brought my Winchester model 70 airgun along just in case...This guy showed up right at dusk, hunting mice. My first ever canid predator.

It was a through and through, right in the boiler room, at 60 yards. He bounced about 12 feet, then bounced again. I ended up walking a grid for 45 minutes until I found him. It was worth the walk. He is on a drying board now.

That is a beautiful fox, very bushy tail. What caliber did you shoot it with?

Congratulations that is pretty cool. I have taken em with my bow & even took one with a .22 pistol back when I used powder burners. Hope to get one soon with my air rifle.

Beautiful critter there flintsack!!! That will make a beautiful mount if you so choose to go that route. That is almost as big as the coyotes out by me!

Get one in the winter and the skin makes into two pairs of warm ladies gloves.



In the UK we cure the brush in methylated spirits and mount it with a silver collet and ring.
