N/A First Gun: FX Dynamic vs Umarex Zelos

Question you don’t have any shops that could order FX airguns in for you I would think a mav or wildcat would fit the bill better not nocking on a zelos but fit and finish and support would go to FX by far
Not to my knowledge unfortunately. There's nowhere to get an airgun besides big chain stores like BassPro (Cabela's in Canada). The only place I've seen FX carried in Canada is airgunsource.ca but they don't carry the wildcat or maverick. They do carry the impact but that's over 4x the price of the Zelos and 2x the Dynamic

You'll likely get a lot of comments here on this one, but firstly...congrats to all my Canadian friends up north.

I have multiple FX guns; I have multiple SnowPeak guns, though not the M60.

For a first and/or only PCP, if you have the coin to spend, I would go with the FX. I've never begrudged a dime I've spent on good equipment. As a second gun (or 102nd), or a tinker project, I really like the SnowPeak guns. The M60 in particular is interesting to me.

If this is to be your only PCP and you dont want to tinker, I'd splurge. If you're the kind of person who wont leave well enough alone and wants to incessantly tune and tinker and understand the associated risks, then sure... go with the M60.
I have spent $420 on my 22 Zelos.
I did nor have to do anything to it but shoot, no tinkering needed.

The FX whatever will be 3-4-5 times more expensive.
For a new PCP shooter I do not think there will be a significant difference between them.

With extra bottles and such, the FX would only be about 1.4x as expensive as the Zelos. But yes I see your point. Both guns will likely be able to outshoot me, and I probably wouldn't notice much improvement with the FX.

Reliability and aftermarket support are the main pros with the FX, but it sounds like everyone is finding the Zelos great and has been very reliable so far

I'll make do with whatever length, but the shorter it is, the better. I'd consider the M60B/Zelos a very short gun at 30 inches
Gotcha, that's a good option! Another option (more compact) is a GK1 with a folding stock, and a 700cc 300b bottle to refill. The airtube on the gun is 80cc you can get 30ish shots at 40fpe from 350b to 140b about 60 shots at 22-23fpe from 350b to 130b for reference.

I think you will be hard pressed to find a .22 that will give you 150 shots on a fill,

I would not like to wield that, but i could probably get behind it at a bench if i put the front of it on a sandbag CUZ i doubt you can finagle a bipod on it.
I simply can not get myself to count a dual bottle setup, if i was to need mobility i would still tether but to a 3 L bottle on my back.

FIY Denmark do not have so think bush that tether entanglement would be a issue.

I totally acknowledge other people do what the hell they like, i would NOT have that any other way.

PS i do see the trigger guard bipod in the picture, but like dual bottles i would not go there.

Drop block Cricket Max-ATH Universal from Huben Power and 1.1L bottle and I can still get the rifle on the Tripod.
It is a heavy beast :)

28" to the end of the barrel or to the end of the bottle? And bottle size?

Did you have to shorten the actual barrel, or just have to cut the shroud? And did it get much louder by doing this?

I would potentially be interested in doing something similar if I find myself wishing for a shorter overall gun later on
