First shots with Charlie's Cricket 2 - 25CAL

Got Charlies Cricket in the mail. Getting it ready for hunting with my son. Home range at 40 yards, shot off a rest. No moderator, but the cricket was surprisingly quiet. things may change a little once I have the Ronin on it. I am almost thinking this gun doesn't need a moderator.

Tested out three pellets types

25.4 FX - average speed 1039, spread 9, deviation 3.0 - tac drove same hole at 40. Group about .58". I was dead zero. (This is the pellet I zeroed the scope to).

25.4 JSA Exact - average speed 1037, spread 11, deviation 5.2 - same hole at 40, but just a little left of zero. Group was .75"

26.54 JSB Hades - average seed 1012, spread 8, deviation 3.0 - same hole at 40 with all 12 rounds but a little left of zero. Group was .84" with 12 rounds.

Just waiting on some 33gr JSB to test out soon. Have some hunter extreme 28gr test tomorrow,.

I would say this will do. Charlie is a magician.

Thank you Charlie!

Aloha coyotegod,

That's some serious FPS with great grouping. I bought a cricket a couple of years ago from Charlie, its still one of my most accurate guns in my collection, Charlie does work his magic when tuning the guns. When anybody ask me about getting a gun I tell them to give Charlie a call. I bought several guns from him and they all perform beyond my expectations.

Aloha,

Keone

This is probably the most accurate airgun I own now. My FX Impact MK2 Compact 30 CAL tuned by SPAW is close, but not this good. I will be getting a Uragan from Charlie after I get the Leshiy 2 Python Edition sometime this fall. So a spring 2022 Uragan!
