Tonight I thought I'd give 100 yards a try just to see how I did. I have been playing at 75 yards since the weekend (first time for that too)
i started by sticking a 1" spinner at 75 yards and once I was whacking it 12 out of 12 I decided to just give 100 yards a try.
I put a 1.5" spinner at 100 yards with no pre conception about whether I'd hit it or not.
Since i had ad printed out my chair gun calculations for my bobcat today and pinned them on the wall of my shooting hut I checked what hold I would need for 100 yards and threw some lead it it.
...missed by about half an inch, low and left. So I adjusted accordingly and proceeded to whack it 6 out of 12 times! Suffice to say I'm over the moon for my first try at 100 yards.
I carried on playing between the 75 yard 1" spinner and the 100 yard 1.5" spinner and to be honest I think my hit rate went down from the initial results. I must have got too complacent!
I also stuck a target board up to see why my groups were like and they weren't that great
I put this down to me not concentrating hard enough on consistency after my initial attempts but I will be back to try again!
