LOL.....no, she told me later on. She's only made me "dance"....no shots fired...Did you know this before you married her?
Has she had any recurrent behavior like this from her youth with you?

Has anyone wondered why a recently joined forum member (the OP) would consider airgun injury such an important topic, as to make it so soon after his first post? It may not be his intent, but you are helping someone make a case against airgun ownership by contributing your war stories.
The impression this thread creates is that accidental and deliberate airgun shootings by children are common. You might declare that they were too common when you grew up; but are no longer common because of how you raised your kids. Then those who now claim that shootings are the leading cause of death among children, are connecting that to the availability of guns, and are likely to stretch that to airguns. I would dispute the notion that more kids are shot dead than die in cars, where someone is texting, rather than paying attention. Clearly some factions do not mind stretching the truth, and are inclined to take information out of context, if it suits them. Therefor, feeding the general public information that can be stretched to support the above notions should be avoided.
We already know that airguns are not toys for children, because they are likely to hurt themselves or others. So, what knowledge does this thread add for forum members, that they did no know? Compare that to what someone who intends to campaign against airgun ownership might do with the information. Such as promoting legislation for locked storage, or power limits; because we already have age limits on airgun purchases.
Even if the OP has no such intent, this forum is completely open to anyone who wants to read it; including those who see airguns as a "gateway drug" to firearms. And who are continually dreaming up ways to discourage legal firearm ownership; and by extension, airgun ownership.
So, you may not agree, but I would ask you to think about the potential positive VS negative value, before you add your story. We like to think that we are amongst friends; because we have no ill intent. The thread title asks for a "firsthand account of a person shot with an air rifle". So, ask yourself; why is someone so keen to know about that? Especially someone with no history, where their outlook and general intent may be evaluated.
