Both Sidewinders, the .30 Cal and the .25 Cal have not presented any problem at all.

I have not used them a lot. I have been shooting the Wolverine HP and the Red Wolf, both in .22 Cal, the must.

Each time I take the Sidewinders and make a shot, the really first one hits exactly where I aim at. No matter if it is the first shot after refilling the rifle.

My other PCP's may hit a little bit different on the first two or three shots after refilling.

Now I can say that I do not have any other rifle that match the reliability on accuracy of the two Sidewinders. For hunting purposes, this is an important info.

Non I tried worked good!

But the .25 34 grain MKII, excellent. The 44.7 .30 Cal and the Hades, excellent.

I am just coming back from my first hunt with the Sidewinder .25 Cal.

The advantage with the semi auto is HUGE!!!!!

Have you played with the full auto much? Every time I've used full auto, the valve will stick and it'll dump all the air. Works great in semi, but I'm reluctant in ever using the full auto now. I don't have my power wheel turned out much, so I don't know what the issue is.

I have never use full auto nor will I.

I like a lot the semi auto.

I just reached out to Western Airguns. I filled my .30 cal Sidewinder back up and brought it back to the range today. It shot once fine in semi-auto. The second shot, it started hissing all the air out again. I was able to stop it by manually rotating the magazine. When I shot it earlier this week, it was doing about 940 FPS, which was a bit faster than when I initially set it up. I checked the power wheel, and it somehow backed out on its own to the + side quite a bit. I rotated it clockwise (-) until it stopped and backed it out 5 clicks. Each shot the valve would still stick open with a much softer hiss. I backed it out 10 clicks, which was my initial set up that would chrony about 890 FPS, and it started working fine. Unfortunately, I had lost so much air, I was already close to the regulator pressure.

Hopefully the solution is something I can do on my own. I don't want to have to send it in.

Fortunately I'm still in zero problems with both Sidewinders.

It sounds like the barrel is interfering with the magazine if you are having to rotate it by hand. Loosen the barrel slightly and retest it. Be sure and let us know if it helps.

I have confirmed that best accuracy with the Sidewinder is achieved if you give enough time among shots in order to allow the plenum to recover pressure after each shot.

For hunting purposes, the semi is TOO MUCH advantage over any other air rifle.

If you get to control your Sidewinder, it is VERY unlikely that you will grab any other of your air rifles as companion for your hunting adventures.

Specially for coyotes hunting, for example.

The compact version comes in at 6.5 lbs . Has a 300cc bottle and able to adjust the .22 power down to 17 fpe and 63 fpe max. They claim 150 shots . This is the one I would be interested in . It doesn't look very robust though.

I agree the semi is a great advantage, not to mention when the safety is off your ready. Mine is a 22cal and yes the first shot is on, some of my other airguns hit low on the first shot or if it sits with out use for any length of time and after a fill . My only complaint is that I go through a lot of ammo. What I like best is that I can shoot heavier ammo fast and then when I go in to a barn I can turn the power wheel down to shoot lighter ammo so I don’t damage anything in the barn. This gun has impressed me with it’s accuracy with both heavy and light ammo. What a great gun, my next investment is for a walnut stock like you got.

The only time that I have experienced the air dumping is if I shoot to light of ammo. For example my is in 22cal and the 25gr & 21gr pellets works great but if shoot the 18gr at some point it will dump all air . I have not yet shot full auto ! My problem is with 18gr on semi, so I don’t shoot any ammo lighter than 21gr. I have not heard of anyone else with this problem, but my just don’t like pellets lighter than 21gr. Thought maybe you could be shooting too light of ammo?
