Five More Sparrows Atomized...

Shot five sparrows after work today, the three pictured were taken off hand at 25 yards. Two more unrecoverable at 40 yards. In two outings the Atomic XR has racked up twenty kills. The Aztec Emerald is much too long for it at almost 15”. Am awaiting a much smaller 9.6” 3-12x IR FFP, which will be more suited to the Atomic.

@ezana4ce, a Westhunter WHT 3-12x FFP IR, it's going to cut almost 5-1/2" off the length of the Aztec. I will definitely post up my impressions of the scope.

@flintsack, I rarely shoot at animals offhand, but these sparrows are devious little buggers and if they see me coming they scatter. So I'm learning to take them offhand. Those three were taken in a long hoop house, where miniature animals, goats, donkeys, calves, live.

@wall-e.t, luckily for the peahens the Atomic is only deadly to some birds.

@matt247365, yes! Little rats with wings. The sparrows are warier than the rats I've killed, the sparrows work in unison. The rats for me were much easier to kill. The rats around here are scarce at the moment. The the sparrows will be getting more attention.
