FL Coyote down

I got my first Airgun coyote tonight. Got him behind the shoulder with my Texan .457 SS CF shooting a 350 grain hollow point.
We were out hunting hogs and he happened along. I couldn’t resist taking the shot, even though we had some pigs in the area.

Hopefully I got some video, will have to check it when I get home.

Well you certainly don’t have to worry about small kill zone head shots with that cannon. Coyotes are opportunity animals. You shoot them any time the opportunity presents itself. Nice job.

I didn’t call him in. He just happened to show up about 35 yards behind me and my brother spotted him. He ran about 20 - 30 yards and dropped dead.

I used to do Brazilian jujitsu back in the 90’s and early 2000’s and it was just a brand of clothing back then, around the time Tapout came out. I’m old I guess, have shirts that are older than my kids …

Sorry guys, I almost forgot to even hit record, so lucky I even got this.

Was shooting off the backside of a stand, offhand through some branches.

Hopefully I will get better video next time.

He was downwind/crosswind and I was afraid he was going to catch my scent.

Among January and February I took three coyotes. One with Vulcan 2 .30 Cal and JSB Hades (dropped on the spot).

The second one during a mule deer hunt, the shot was at 350 yards with the 30-06, the coyote made some movements before rolling downhill.

The third one was at the same mule deer hunting with the FX Indy .30 Cal and JSB' Hades at 50 yards, this last coyote ran less than the one in your movie.
