For all Newbie members and visitors

There are already too many rules on AN in my opinion. I would like to see less rules and more freedom to participate. This is already one of the most restrictive but also the best air gun platform out there.
If I’m following you correctly, the extra rules that have been implemented by Mike were put in to curb certain activities or postings that would draw unwanted attention. Once the govt or state steps in, it’s all FUBAR. He’s just trying to keep it tight so the formal inquiry does not happen. Remember, he’s in commifornia. He has a lot to watch out for.

very well said! we were all new at one time. Hopefully those that visit, become members. As well as after becoming a member, visit often! I wish I would have years before I did, but then, I probably had more money by not being here so often,,,, ;)

There is a lot to be learned from those that have been doing this seriously for years, as well as anyone that has new ideas that were never explained before, but that is where using the search is another benefit, knowing when something you discovered has never been discussed.

Thanks for a very informative post.

I’m just tossing this out there. Do think maybe, possibly, that this is the best airgun platform out there because of the rules? Maybe they enable it to be? A lawless town would be fun for some, but I doubt it would be a flourishing productive town.

I agree, so far AGN is the best airgun forum out there, nothing can beat it IMHO :). And the rules are here for a reason. Rules do not restrict me from having a very informative and ultimately helpful discussion about airgun technologies, repairs, maintenance and tuning straight to the point without flooding. And, most importantly, classifieds with all the rules imposed there is the safest place to trade. So yes, I think rules are good for this community.
