I've noticed a few threads lately about similar LEAKS (in New PCP's). The 1st commandment in filling air reservoirs is FILL SLOWLY, BLEED QUICKLY! A simple thing that hasn’t been stressed enough lately. That is all. Peace out!

Scotty1 is correct. If you bleed quickly, i.e. letting more volume of pressure out at once, it closes valve more quickly thereby lessening possibility of valve not closing quickly enough OR sticking open. There have been MANY posts here about fill valves sticking open or closed, a large majority of which have been solved by a "fast rush" of pressure.

Also, many guns when empty need to be cocked before filling. Otherwise, the pressure of the hammer spring can keep the valve slightly open and the air will go wooshing down the barrel.

Open bleed valve on compressor, pump or tank fill hose. Never pull probe or qd fitting off before bleeding line first.

WHICH o-rings, precisely, are you referring to? In 6 years & 8 different guns I've NEVER found this method to adversely affect any of the o-rings involved in the process. So which ones do you mean & which gun also?
