For you ladies with high end "target" pistols with the DIN fill fitting adapter

Despite Pilkguns wanting $45 to drill and tap for a 1/8 NPT, it takes all of about 10 or 15 minutes to do at home if you have a few things in your garage.

A 21/64" drill bit, a good 1/8 NPT tap, a solid vice, some cutting oil and a mill or drill press and some hand tools.

The fitting MUST be held VERY tight in a mill / drill press vice. Feed the drill bit VERY slow if you are going into brass as the Steyr fitting is. The drill will "grab" the brass material, so so slowly. The hole should be a little deeper than the full length of the threads on the NPT tap. Using cutting oil will help but not mandatory.

Put a visible chamfer in the hole.

I have a big vice with 9" jaws, so holding the fitting tight is no problem ! Use a good cutting oil while tapping the threads. As soon as you hear squeaking, stop, clean the tap, reoil and begin again. I went fairly deep to minimize big air chamber within the fitting.

Clean well. Lightly oil the 1/8 NPT x Foster fitting, and install until tight.

Done.

It makes filling the Steyr (LP50) air chamber MUCH easier and quicker. You can now fill the air chamber with a hand pump, a electro/mechanical pump or your scba tank.

P.s. - Forgot to mention. I bought the male, 1/8" NPT x Foster fitting from Air Tanks Plus in Sacramento CA.
