Forloh - “Made in America” hunting clothing

While I was in Kalispel, Montana my friends and I went to Whitefish. We walked into a new store that was a “brick and mortar” store for Forloh hunting clothing which is a new brand based out of Montana.

The quality of the clothing seemed amazing and top dollar. However, the Forloh clothing seems to be both sourced and made here in the USA.

The prices are high, but like our guns, you get what you pay for. Being a someone who loves quality outdoor clothing, the Forloh stuff seems comparable to Patagonia / Northface / Peak Performance & etc for their fit and finish. The prices match though, $350 plus for a pair of rain pants $250 for a down jacket (a normal price for this quality range of clothing).

Interesting but wondering if it’s some reworded variant of Primaloft and Polartec Alpha, which I believe were both developed for the military. I highly recommend any and all of the Sitka “Core” base products, it almost feels like silk. I also very much like my Apex Hoody, Kelvin Active Jacket, Kelvin Lite Vest, Mountain Vest, along with a few others. I don’t need the level of warmth that the full Primaloft products provide due to location. If you do purchase a Primaloft product, or this Forloh “Thermoneutral,” make sure to google the washing and drying procedure.

Awesome info

Blackpaw,

If looking for lightweight hunting gear may I suggest checking these guys out. They are an online store, having only one walking store in Dixon, Ca. High quality at a price. They have many great videos to check out. Cheers

Ditto the above. Kuiu makes outstanding stuff. I am fully kitted out with it for my backcountry bowhunting excursions. It's expensive, but the Sierras at 10,000 feet can be unforgiving, so having quality clothing is a must.

The late owner/founder of Kuiu, Jason Hairston, also founded Sitka Gear, later selling it to W.L. Gore.

The Kuiu/Hairston story is interesting, yet tragic.
