Form AK style Grip for my Ghost

I installed my newly received FORM AK style wooden grip on my Ghost Carbine yesterday.
FORM Quality Assurance was a bit lacking because i had to finish drilling the partially drilled hole for the hex head attachment bolt.
Grip may be a bit oversized for my hands and the grip could use some stippling to make it less slippy.

Looks like, as many don't...fit your hand well.
The main reason that I don't care for finger groove grips. Many, if not (for me) most times, they try to force your fingers into a position that's...not...comfortable.

In most of my cases, if I have to have a finger grip, grip, and it's made of wood, I change it to fit...my hand. If it plastic, same, change it. If it's rubber, normally I move on.
If the grooves are small, or light, I'll try a rubber grip.

Here's one I cut up pretty good, much better -

Here's a plastic one that I made fit...my...hand, with the help of some epoxy -

Mike
the epoxy trick is a good idea.

Thanks for sharing pics of it installed and with your hand. I have been looking through as many threads and pics as I can find to try to find more vertical grips for the Ghost and there aren’t many options at all. This seems like one of the better options and seemed fairly vertical before and this seems fairly vertical as well.

Rumor has it that another vertical grip is coming from another vendor… we just have to wait and see.

Looks great Rudy! Unfortunate that it doesn't fit your hand though.

Seems to aesthetically work well with the wood on your hamster. If you get a chance Id be curious to see how it looks from a little further back, so that more of the hamster is in the frame too.
My thoughts exactly.... too much grip for not enough hand. I'll try to upload a current pic of the whole rig tonight - this pic is just with the hamster in place..

Have you checked out ERGO?

Do they make an AK grip?
No they don't. But I've modified several of them to fit guns not true AR grip set up.
Some cutting and grinding here and there and Bob's your Uncle!
I did look at the Ghost parts diagram and part #71 looks kind of like the AR mount.
So I'd render a guess one could adapt the Royal Arms grip.

I put a Royal Arms Grip on my PR-S chassis. Dremel is your friend. Below are some pictures
I think that this has been the best pistol grip I have used. Stock Daystate, PR-S and Form included.

@SDstephan very nice.... was a lot of whittling away required to get a proper fitment?
Stephan i recall you had some big hands to go with your +6 ft frame... can you take a pic of your hand holding the grip similar to the one i took of me holding the FORM grip?
what Butt hook / pad is on your PRS chassis?

Rudy - took about 15-20 minutes - whittle, fit, whittle some more.....
I'll take a picture later tonight and will post it.
The butt hook / pad is from K & L - I like the feel and it holds tight to your shirt when shouldered - fits quite a few rifles - see their site

@SDstephan

That is Fantastic! I have the Royal Arms on my Dreamline Lite and my EB XVI. Both took a little work but well worth it.
I have an extra for future projects and plan on getting another to have just in case.
At about $40 they are worth the price! And American made to boot!

1 is planned for the Evanix Sniper .50 and that has a different slant to the attaching bolt so is not bolt on friendly!
I plan to make a threaded stud and bend that to the proper angle to attach.

Here's the DreamLine Lite with the Grip. You'll notice I added a part to give me a crude riser type thing.

@Privateer - I agree - well made - fit me well and reasonably priced.
If I recall the service / delivery was very quick.

Good luck on the Evanix project.
