Foster Fittings ID Needed

In an recent post those using the Yong Heng compressor were talking about using a one-way male foster valve and fitting combination to eliminate the need to race back to their tanks shut off valve after shutting down their compressor first. For my set-up I order one regular male foster to 1/8" npt to replace the one on my Great White tank which has compatibility issues with the female chinese QD fittings. Then I ordered one male foster one-way valve to 1/8" npt male thread to use in combination with a female foster to female 1/8" QD fitting. Today when I received the fitting both male foster appear to be capable of being one-way valves. Please look at the video showing what I got and tell me if I'm right and if I just need to remove the internals of either one to make work as an regular foster. Thanks Bill

Hi, Bill, I tried your link but it doesn't seem to work. I gather that you just want to remove the valve from one side or the other. If so, that will be fine. Some of these valves are just a loose plug that relies on suction and pressure to open and close and others have a spring holding them shut until the pressure overpowers it and holds it open. Both are easy to remove.

Thanks Eaglebeak, I did install the one male foster without the internal valve pin to replace my problematic male foster on my Great White tank and used the other in combination with the female foster which works for how I have my Yong Heng set-up. I can see how the one-way valve stops most the air flow when under pressure but then slowly bleeds down. Should do the job. Maybe I should have applied a little silicone to the washer for a tighter seal. I will try to link that video again. Bill

Hi, Bill. The valve with the shaft in it is I think a replacement part for some particular brand of gun or marker. I did not think it would be suitable for my use. The one in the add appears to be installed back to front. If there is a screwdriver slot on one end then that end faces out. Mine does not leak down at all, the higher the pressure the tighter the seal.
