Tuning Free floating Springer Forearm

Thought I'd show these pics again for anyone wanting to wring out every bit of accuracy with your break barrel or under lever gun. I put on Air rifle Matches for four years till they pittered out...to bad. we had some good times.I got a lot of guys into shooting the 300 S for the springer Match. would help center there scope with Burris signature rings,show them how to rebuild there gun with new springs and seals.
So I got a hair up the butt one day and milled out some forearm plates to free float the forearm and see the difference...Wow worked very well on my FWB 124 and 127 ..and an R1. I decided to take the 124 to out next Match....and won..LOL these guys are saying you get us into the 300S then beat us with A break barrel ! Well i only took it to the one match. So any of you guys want to doing some playing here ya go. thankyou, Pete in Montana

Looks very stable, laterally, resisting canting on the rest. Looks like it adds a lot of mass as well.
What are the black runners made from? Looks like it would create a nice friction sled system for the double snap recoil.

I have the same nice Maccari laminate stock on my 124.

1/2" Delrin rod milled with a 1/4" flat...works very well.thankyou

Another option to consider would be the springers with built in sleds like the FWB 300, Diana 54, and AA TX200 SR.

It’s held on by the trigger guards/mounting lug screw, and the other screw fits in the coclking slot like a Tee slot and Tee nut?

I use a Protector rest with the slippery cloth you can order . works great ! also ordered the slippery cloth and my wife sewed a "pot holder " i can use freehand shooting .
EDIT: you can order the front rest "bags" alone .

I;m pretty sure I tapped a nice aluminum or brass lug in stock for the front screw hole. I sold off almost all my guns afew years back...like a fool. Just rebuilt two 124's I picked up.so will be using the plate again. Except I will mill in an Anschutz rail so I can slip the floating plate off with the twist of two screws,more on this in near future .Pete I did keep my 300S Tyro and a HW80.....and now have the 2-124's 3- 300s's and a TX200SR which will be here end of week. Here we go again! LOL
